2018/19 ACADEMIC YEAR IN REVIEW

October 18, 2019

We are incredibly proud of all we have accomplished in our Collegiate Sports Practice this year. More importantly, we have a feeling the challenges and opportunities we have identified with our current clients might also be impacting you. Below is an overview of the four key trends that we experienced and the solutions we created to advantage of opportunities for our clients:

01 / YOUR BRAND NEEDS A MASTER BRAND STORYTELLER.

A big challenge our clients face is determining how to bring continuity to all of their athletic spaces. We have the answer and that allowed us to further our position as the leading Collegiate Brand Partner in our industry.

The solution is a role we call The Master Storyteller. We coined this term because of the role we play with our partners. We get
to know you and learn the stories that make your University and Athletic Programs unique. We then use that knowledge to create master design guidelines and narratives or stories that we can weave throughout each facility. These guidelines then still leave room for customization for each facility and program while ensuring there is continuity across all spaces.

The partnerships we hold with Wake Forest, Florida, North Carolina, Kansas State and Iowa State where we have helped to transform the look and feel of multiple if not all of their athletic spaces are perfect examples. And, we are proud to announce that we have recently added Pitt to our outstanding client list.

02 / A PLACE WHERE YOUR BRAND AND TECHNOLOGY MEET.

Capturing the attention of Centennials and Millennials is a goal of all our clients, and speaking to an audience in their language is vital. That’s why 10 years ago we invested in our technology department to ensure we had the in-house capabilities to complete the most innovative projects in the market with our own team members. A great example of the results of our investment is the UConn Hall of Champions project that opened in the Spring. Also, keep a close look out for the Physical Mission Project at the Naval Academy that will be opening this Fall. It will be the most most interactive facility of its type in college

athletics.

03 / EMBEDDED EMPLOYEES – MASTER FACILITY PLANNING AND BRANDING.

More and more of our clients are undergoing facility masterplans and as a result, a master brand planning exercise. Our experience has shown us that we must go above and beyond to support those efforts, and that’s why we just put one of our own employees in the Pitt Athletic Department and are in the process of putting another in the Florida Athletic Department.  We know you have a lot on your plate and we are helping by providing a resource to assist with content, internal communication, meetings and more.

04 / THE TAILGATING EXPERIENCE...ELEVATED.

Finally, our clients are constantly looking to create unique gameday experiences. Our solution is tailgating re-imagined. An elevated structure that gives fans a unique home for tailgating season and let’s your parking lot still stay in full use. Additionally, that same experience can double as student housing or an overnight rental? This revolutionary setup is here and you could be leading the pack in game day and fan experience innovation. Check out a completely new approach to tailgating.
