Helping shelter bus passengers
all throughout Kansas City
We partnered with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and HNTB Architects to successfully implement a new Bus Rapid Transit system in Kansas City. We produced 20 bus shelters using Starfire™ tempered glass and stainless steel on the Main Street shelters and painted steel and plexiglass on the Troost shelters. The real-time kiosks are connected to the speed of the bus, and alert riders to exact times of arrival. The kiosks are stainless steel and are loaded with LED lights and electronics for easy viewing and user safety. The MAX bus shelters are now located all around the greater Kansas City area and have become a focal point of local public transportation.
