Reliving decades of your team’s most record-breaking, jaw-dropping, buzzer-beating moments is every sports fan’s dream. For the likes of the Dallas Mavericks, this dream became a transient reality at the 2022 State Fair of Texas. DI was honored to work alongside key partners to make this unique, interactive experience a real slam dunk.
Presented by Shiftkey, the Mavs Vault was a comprehensive public exhibition that highlighted the franchise's 42-year history through never-before-seen artifacts, archival footage, merchandise, memorabilia and more. DI worked in close collaboration with JRA, Heritage Werks, DI Build and the Dallas Mavericks themselves to build an exciting and memorable experience for more than 130,000 visitors who explored the vault.
Visitors entered the Mavs Vault by walking through a massive circular steel door created by DI.
In addition to the towering trophy display pedestal, our team was responsible for a variety of niche designs, reader rails, display and artifact layouts, as well as large-format Mavericks graphics and banners throughout the space.
Showcasing vibrant displays, historic mementos, playful interactives and legendary photo ops, the vault was designed to transform the Maverick’s most remarkable moments into a remarkable experience that fans will never forget. Go Mavs!
