Scheels
Scheels offers more than sporting goods and apparel,
they provide customers a retail adventure and experience.
Dimensional Innovations worked with Scheels, a large retail store with apparel, shoes, and gear for sports and outdoor recreation, to create a 1940's Fairchild float plane to hang from their ceiling as an impressive visual. After the success of a 45-percent scale replica, DI also built multiple 75-percent scale replicas for other Scheels stores across the U.S. The DI team modeled, engineered and fabricated the float plane using proprietary products, designed to be as light possible around the internal aluminum structure. Faux painting to create water stains, oil spray, and fingerprints on the windshield add to the realistic appearance. DI also designed and built a custom interactive experience inside their Overland Park, Kansas location.
