University of Kansas Residence Halls
Using Jayhawk Traditions, Stories and Pride,
To inspire students and connect multiple generations
For the first time since 1966, The University of Kansas built new residence halls (Oswald, Self and Daisy Hill Commons) which opened during 2015. For this multi-million-dollar masterpiece, they needed to incorporate the KU brand, student life, historical references and donor information. We were awarded the contract to work with the KU Design and Construction Group, KU Student Housing and KU Admissions to design, develop, fabricate and install signage, graphics, artistic and historically significant pieces within the new building. The original art pieces in the space were envisioned to capture the traditions which tie generations of Jayhawks to a lifetime of love and pride for the University of Kansas.
Residence Hall Images and information were contributed by KUHistory.com, Kenneth Spencer Research Library, the University of Kansas Libraries, Spencer Museum of Art, the Lawrence Journal-World.
