Tim Britton
Metal Shop Lead
You could say sheet metal work is in Production Supervisor, and metal shop lead Tim Britton’s blood. His father, two brother and brother-in-law all worked in the field and he himself has more than 35 experience in metal fabrication.
Starting in the Sheet Metal Workers Union when he was 19, Tim has been managing people and projects since gaining journeyman sheet metal worker status. He ran a shop for 15 years with his brothers doing work for HVAC units and commercial kitchens before switching to the marine industry. Tim spent 20 years in his marine manufacturing odyssey, making parts and pieces for everything from pleasure boats to enormous offshore yachts.
At DI, leads all the varied, custom projects created in every form imaginable, from bus shelters to signage and even a giant cell phone that sat in Times Square. Outside of work, he can be found target shooting, growing vegetables in his garden and fishing.
