Bringing Theming to Life

As a theming design company, Dimensional Innovations knows just how to bring your theme to life. To get started, we will go over all of your ideas and look at your space. Often, we do theming on a grand scale. So, we can discuss any large installation pieces, artwork, logos, and so much more.

As we continue the process, we will start to see how we can position the elements you want to incorporate in your theming design in your space. We can create a whole new world for you. When Hy-Vee told us that they wanted to create a Times Square theme in their Helpful Smiles Technology Center (HST) in Des Moines, Iowa, we knew this would be a fun project.

To make Hy-Vee’s idea come to life, we set about creating a branded cityscape that matches New York’s Times Square, making it look like employees are sitting in the heart of the Big Apple. In the design, we replicated a jumbo screen and added a permanent food truck with daily specials for employees. A digital tracker even flashes updated company news along the walls, and neon diner signs and cityscape lights cycle on and off throughout the day. We wanted to create the bustle that NYC is known for in the building. The bright lights, big city vibe made this a fun project for DI!

At Dimensional Innovations, we offer a variety of different themed design capabilities. For the Alamo Drafthouse in Omaha, Nebraska, we created a Star Wars-themed movie theater experience like no other. As guests enter the theater, they are immediately immersed in a space that undoubtedly takes them directly into the Star Wars universe.

At the entrance, there are sixteen-foot-tall LED lightsabers that continue throughout the common areas of the theater. The concession stand looks like a space station, and Imperial-style light panels and directory signage lead people through the corridors. Visitors can also take photos on a precise recreation of Emperor Palpatine’s throne from the films. The best feature of the whole theater is the 10-foot-wide Death Star replica that hangs over the main lobby of the theater.
