Honoring Generosity Through Experience: Interactive Donor Recognition
The Challenge: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Georgia’s only freestanding pediatric healthcare system, set out to create more than just a new hospital—they envisioned an environment that could comfort, inspire and engage young patients and their families at every turn. As part of the new Arthur M. Blank Hospital, CHOA needed donor recognition that would go beyond names on a wall. The goal was to tell stories, encourage generosity and create interactive moments that reflect the spirit of community and care. At the same time, the hospital needed a scalable, brand-aligned environmental design package to enhance wayfinding, create a calming atmosphere and unify the experience across all 20 floors.

Making an Early Impact
Over 200+ new, unique real-time donations received through the Digital Forest Donor Wall within the hospital's first 9 months of opening.
Environmental Graphic Design + Branded Storytelling
In parallel, DI designed and implemented a full-scale environmental graphics package for Arthur M. Blank Hospital. Inspired by CHOA’s brand and Georgia’s diverse landscape, the team created over a thousand unique graphic moments—pulling from the Blue Ridge Mountains, animal-filled forests, and native flora to create a playful, nature-forward experience. These visuals were not only beautiful but carefully crafted to bring comfort and delight to pediatric patients across every floor.
DI also developed supplemental artwork and custom installations that preserve CHOA’s rich history, including:
This integrated approach ensured a cohesive, immersive space rooted in healing, gratitude, and Georgia pride. From interactive tech to tactile storytelling, every element reinforces CHOA’s mission: to provide care that’s as compassionate as it is cutting-edge.
