We’ve all been to a museum that doesn’t impress; visitors leave having gained only a little knowledge they likely won’t remember, and they won’t be back. But exhibits don’t have to be boring! At Dimensional Innovations, we strive to create remarkable exhibits for both museums and zoos.
How do we bring excitement to your exhibits? We do this by planning unique exhibits that utilize technology, hands-on elements, and beautiful designs. Many of our exhibit designs also include large fabrication projects that bring to life and cinematic content that will leave your guests in awe. The goal: excite, inspire, engage, and inform guests, all at the same time.
Exhibit Design
Exhibits are all about theming and design. Keeping visitors enthralled starts with an interesting story or topic. At Dimensional Innovations, we work with you to uncover the story behind the exhibit, and then we present the story to your visitors with brilliant imagery, video, content, and more.
Captivating exhibits start with remarkable experiences. Make every visitor’s experience extraordinary with interactive components. Whether you incorporate extreme technological pieces that guests can manipulate or touchscreen displays, bringing technology into your exhibits adds some excitement for guests.
By seamlessly blending strategy, design, content, and technology, we can immerse visitors in your exhibits or galleries and keep their attention longer. Some of our favorite exhibit projects include large-scale fabrications, interactive video elements, showstopping archival displays, donor recognition displays, and augmented reality elements.
Museum Exhibit Design
When you need an interpretive design experience that brings guests back, Dimensional Innovations is here to help. History, art, science, and nature museums aim to educate their visitors with each exhibit. Museum exhibits rely on storytelling to connect with guests. Museum exhibit planning requires a great deal of balance, as we want to inform museum guests while still providing entertainment.
Dimensional Innovations can make each exhibit interactive and exciting for museum guests. To do this, we put our curiosity to work. Our team will look at unique ways of presenting information to museum visitors like interactive video content, which we used at the Museum at Prairiefire in collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History. Using touchscreens, guests can create and name a dragon, learn how different species of dinosaurs really looked, and find fossils. The interactive nature of the museum brings a true connection to STEM-related subjects for visitors of all ages.
As a museum exhibit design company, we have vast experience in bringing exhibit themes to life for our clients. Check out some of our best museum exhibit design work!
Zoo Exhibit Design
Let Dimensional Innovations create a one-of-a-kind zoo exhibit that park visitors will rave about for years. Zoo exhibit design starts with creating a safe place for guests to view the species living in the exhibit. Each exhibit will need to showcase information about its animal residents in an engaging manner suitable to young children as well as their parents.
We have many tricks—that aren’t really tricks—to help park visitors feel like they are getting a more hands-on experience with the animals they see in zoo exhibits. Interactive experiences give visitors deeper, more meaningful connections with the animals they see. For example, seeing videos of zookeepers interacting with animals up-close and calling them by name gives a more personal connection to that animal.
Our work on the Tropics Building at the Kansas City Zoo required us to design and build an interactive, engaging experience for zoo guests. To make the experience memorable, we created KC Joe, a fictitious character that leads children and their parents through the tropics while teaching about the flora and fauna they might encounter throughout the exhibit. KC Joe uses games and didactics to entertain and inform zoo guests.
As a zoo exhibit design company, we thrive on seeing people taking part in our zoo experiences.
