The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures
Using design and technology to showcase
one of the world’s largest collections of fine-scale miniatures and toys.
We collaborated with West Office Exhibit Design to create a modern museum experience containing toys and fine-scale miniatures. We designed and developed over 1,000 custom displays and artifact enclosures, interactive video walls, motion activated lighting, signage, and custom games that invites patrons to experience a new standard of museums.
The most popular features are a two-story rotating toy-tisserie that displays more than 1,000 toys, and a 9-foot tall custom made zoetrope that visitors can spin to see an animation of a pilot take off by plane but land by parachute. Visitors can visit In the Artist’s Studio where they can see if they have what it takes to be a miniature artist. The museum is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
