Cabela’s was looking for a way to make the most of two new but smaller locations. Since there would be less floor space, they wanted to give their customers a way to see all of their products up close without taking up too much room. Dimensional Innovations helped build three interactive “Trailhead” kiosks for each new location.
These kiosks work with virtual reality headsets to allow customers and associates to become experts on products and outdoor activities. The Camping Trailhead gives customers the ability to look at various tents sold at Cabela’s. Customers can view 360-degree images of the inside of the tent, which gives them a good idea of what it is like actually to be in the tent.
The Hunting Trailhead shows hunting blinds in 360-degree imagery. In each blind, a rifle and shotgun are staged with hotspots. As customers select a hotspot, a game opens that allows the customer to hunt using the weapon from inside the blind.
The Fishing Trailhead gives customers the chance to go on a fishing trip with the 2017 Angler of the Year, Brandon Palaniuk. They can watch him catch a 10+ pound bass, explore his boat, and learn about the equipment he uses.
When Live Nation reached out wanting larger-than-life brand activations that could double as photo opportunities for social media, we knew that creating sharable, postable brand activations was crucial. The brand activations we came up with for Xfinity Center also included other corporate sponsors, such as Bud Light and Gulf Oil. The Bud Light activation showcases each concert at the Xfinity Center and allows people to take photos of the shows they are attending with the date. The large orange Gulf Oil star activation features branding for both Gulf Oil and Xfinity. Both quickly became social media photo favorites of Xfinity Center guests.
