Hy-Vee Inc. Corporate Headquarters

Experience design to honor where they’ve been, where they’re going, and the people

who made it all happen.

As one of the largest supermarket chains in the Midwest, Hy-Vee has a rich history of community involvement and excellence in customer service, as many know from their slogan that originated in the 1960s – “A helpful smile in every aisle.” When renovating and expanding the conference center inside their corporate headquarters, Hy-Vee stakeholders turned to DI to create a fully-branded and comprehensive space where they could share their storied history through physical and digital elements, display countless awards and memorabilia, and seamlessly recognize long-time employees and influential company leaders.

 

 

DI was responsible for designing and building a tech-focused entry area that’s able to scale and evolve with the company, giving employees past and present a place to gather, network and commemorate their accomplishments the Hy-Vee way. Walking into the space, visitors are faced with red floor-to-ceiling columns, intentionally designed to represent the company’s core values. In addition to the physical artifacts displayed within, high-resolution curved screens wrap each column to serve as a customizable canvas to celebrate marketing content created over the years. Other features inside the renovated space include a CEO Leadership Wall, a Hy-Vee Timeline Experience, a 40-Year Employee Wall, and more. 

Each unique element within the space was designed to showcase the Hy-Vee brand and represent the company’s mission of superior customer service. DI collaborated with company stakeholders to spearhead a seamless branded office design that properly illustrates their long history of strong leadership, community engagement and high standard of excellence.

Brandon has over seven years of Client Success, Account Management, and Business Development experience working within various industries alongside countless clients. With a unique background that spans multiple roles, Brandon tries to approach each partnership with a specific emphasis on establishing long-term relationships for the betterment of all parties. He constantly works to align capabilities and client needs to identify key areas of opportunities for sustainable success.

As Corporate and Healthcare Practice Director, Brandon’s focus is two-fold: collaborating with firms to elevate their spaces into modern, branded environments that make lasting impressions with their employees, visitors, and clients; and working with healthcare facilities to help create engaging and soothing environments that promote positive distractions and health-focused benefits.

Brandon graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with a BS in Marketing. Outside of the DI office, when not working to create remarkable experiences for his clients, Brandon can often be found at his favorite sports experience - watching the Kansas Jayhawks play at Allen Fieldhouse.

Tim is an Executive Creative Director at DI, with a focus on creative strategy and content development. Tim is an adept motion designer, editor, and all-around creative generalist, with formal training in illustration and computer animation. That training, combined with years of hands-on production experience for national brands, means that there isn’t a creative concept or production challenge Tim isn’t ready to tackle. Tim leads a talented team of strategists, writers, motion designers, and post-production artists, helping some of the best brands in the world tell their stories and engage with consumers.

Depth of category knowledge and an ability to distill complex information into key insights have been critical components in Tim’s continued success with brands like Microsoft, Anthem, and Cerner. He has been involved at every stage of production, from concept through completion, with a wide variety of clients, including XBOX, Microsoft Surface, Sprint, LG, H&R Block, Molson Coors, VH1, Sonic, UMB, Helzberg Diamonds, and Discover Card.
