University of Arkansas: Frank O’Mara Track and Field High Performance Center

Arkansas Track and Field

We feel like trailblazers creating this type of environment for our athletes. I hope other universities will

invest in their facilities as the sport of track continues to evolve.

Chris Buckman, Arkansas Men's Head Cross Country, Track and Field Coach

As one of the most decorated NCAA programs in the country, the University of Arkansas Track and Field teams yearned for a new on-campus facility that was not only bigger and better with state-of-the-art amenities, but had the edge, experience and environment to keep up with the rise of the Razorbacks. That’s where Dimensional Innovations came in.

DI was proud to partner with Hufft Architects and AECOM to create a one-of-a-kind facility for men and women’s programs, setting a precedent for Arkansas athletics. Working alongside various stakeholders, our team created immersive experiences, graphics and displays that tap an emotional connection for all who enter - including the nations’ top recruits. Alas, the Frank O’Mara Track and Field High Performance Center was born.

With display cases, a swag shrine full of uniforms, shoes and other program memorabilia, the performance center tells a story of collegiate traditions past and budding futures. A walkway lined with records and tributes to Arkansas greats creates an experience that immediately strikes a chord for former, current and potential future Razorback athletes. Heck, it’ll even have rivals callin’ “Woo Pig Sooie.”

The center serves as the one-stop-shop for all things Arkansas track and field, giving the athletes a state-of-the-art space to train, recover and relax...then repeat the process over again. While Razorback runners like to win, and do it well we might add, the facility is about more than best-in-class equipment and National Championships. It’s about tradition, legacy and forward momentum.

The uniquely branded environment, including the dimensional letters hovering the hydrotherapy room, gives Arkansas Track and Field the competitive space to honor their past, embrace their future and continue to grow their standard of excellence for years to come.

Testimonials

This facility is a living legacy. Every kid who's here is looking at that wall saying, “How can I eventually make that list?”

Lance Harter, Arkansas Women's Head Cross Country, Track and Field Coach
