University of Nebraska Osborne Legacy Complex

To meet this challenge, DI collaborated as the fabricator alongside Populous as the designer to build a 315,000-square-foot, three-story expansion that exemplifies the spirit of The Osborne Legacy Complex. Thoughtfully integrated into the campus, the new facility includes cutting-edge amenities: a state-of-the-art weight room, advanced recovery areas, and a brand-new locker room, gaming room, and barber shop, among others. These upgrades empower Nebraska’s football program to operate at its best, showcasing an environment that appeals to athletes across the nation.

At the heart of this transformation is the Experience Lobby, designed to celebrate Husker tradition. Fans can view National Championship and Heisman trophies and explore four interactive digital exhibits honoring the Husker Blackshirts, Letter Winners, National Champions, and Heisman Award winners. The “Huddle with the Huskers” selfie station allows fans to capture memories, creating a deeper connection to the legacy and excitement that define Nebraska football.

One of the project’s crowning achievements is the 60-foot hallway featuring backlit images of legendary Nebraska coaches, an installation executed with exacting precision and care. This tribute, along with other design highlights, embodies the spirit and excellence of the Husker community, making Memorial Stadium a premier destination for athletes and fans alike.
