Nebraska Crossing
A touchless, accessible and gamified
addition to the shopping experience
Nebraska Crossing saw a unique opportunity to enhance the guest experience within their massive outdoor space. Knowing the days of rummaging for quarters for a pay-to-play game or pony ride at the mall are in the past, Nebraska Crossing stakeholders wanted an interactive game element that was fun, self-sufficient and easy to play. That’s where we came in.
Our team designed and created touchless gesture games located within the mall’s open-air interior, inviting young (and old) shoppers to put their soccer goalie skills to the test or flaunt their golf swing for a chance at a hole-in-one. Players are prompted to stand in front of the glass-protected screens and raise their hand for the sensor to detect. From there, it’s game time.
While the games at Nebraska Crossing include soccer and golf, accents of Cornhusker branding and a digital course modeled after one of the most iconic golf courses in the country, our team can customize the sport, color scheme, signage, logos, environments and backgrounds based on client preferences.
Designed to be adaptable, intuitive and interactive, gesture games offer an entertaining addition not only to the largest outdoor mall in Nebraska, but to the broader retail experience itself.
