Interactive Kid Zones from Dimensional Innovations
Children’s museums are giant interactive kid zones! We have worked with a few different museums geared toward kids to create unique experiences. At each one, the Dimensional Innovations team works with the museum to brainstorm new ideas, and then we turn these ideas into masterpieces.
In our work with Science City, we helped create the Unplugged exhibit. For this project, the idea was conceptualized by students from Olathe North High School as a way to show visitors how energy powers the world. This exhibit includes interactive technology, large-scale graphics, physical interactives, and so much more. When put together, the exhibit is a place that sparks wonder in children.
At Regnier Family Wonderscope Children’s Museum, the Dimensional Innovations team helped create hands-on exhibits that integrate art, science, sports, history, literature, and more. Fitting with the Kansas City theme, kids can experience the H20h! Room, which was inspired by the City of Fountains. The room is full of water tables and other water-based interactives. Other rooms feature a play treehouse with numerous sound interactives, a market where kids can shop for groceries, and a sports room where kids can play physics-based games involving balls and slides.
But we don’t just work with children’s museums. Trying to entertain children in places that are geared toward adults can be a challenge. For example, at sports arenas, there often aren’t many things that will hold the attention of little kids. And for youngsters, games last a long time.
When sports venues want to be a little more kid-friendly, Dimensional Innovations is here to design the perfect experience for the little ones. Even something like a jumping contest is enough to keep kids entertained for a few minutes of game time without taking away from the overall sporting experience.
